The young crop of Waikiki's talent pool is guided by the pure stoke and fun in which drives the young crew to be the next up and coming surfers from Hawaii. The frothiest of them all, John Michael Van Hohenstein, who is also a maestro on anything you can put under his ten toes and one of the most creative of the group lets us in on his mental psych and what fuels his teenage dream. Recently joining the Kai Sallas Longboard Co label, Johnny is taking his next big steps with his skills and equipment to the highest level of professional surfing, the 2020 WSL World Longboard Tour.
